Hannu Mäkynen is a physical education teacher and principal with extensive experience in engaging, guiding, and coaching people of all ages in various sports. Additionally, he has experience as a leader working in changing situations and with different reference groups. His perspective on training and coaching is comprehensive, focusing not only on physical training but also on understanding and developing the individual's overall life context in line with their goals. Becoming an athlete and growing as an athlete is not just about improving performance but also about personal growth.

 

When planning physical training, it is important to consider the starting point, realistic goals, goal monitoring, striving for and motivating optimal training, and learning to analyze one's own development. The starting point and goal are to teach athletes to understand training as part of their own life, which includes physical and mental training, nutrition, sleep and rest, social relationships, goals in studies and/or work, and other leisure activities. Understanding and considering all of this brings more motivation to training through the realization of goals and improvement in performance, as well as the ability to understand the importance of determined and systematic training for achieving results.

 

The North MX Alliance - Hannu Mäkynen is a Master of Science in Sports Sciences from the University of Jyväskylä. He has also extensively studied educational sciences. The planning and guidance of physical training are based on years of experience in guiding and coaching people of different ages and skill levels, understanding the importance of versatile training at different stages of life, and evidence-based knowledge.
